Ulrich Meier rejoined Go Virtual Germany in December 2012 as the Director Presales and High-Performance-Computing specialist. Ulrich has a solid background of more than twenty years of experience in market development, marketing, technical pre-sales and sales for complex technical IT solutions. As a former member of the European technical sales teams of Convex Computer, Silicon Graphics, and Sun Microsystems he knows the sales process of high value addition products, the face to face contact with customers and the challenge of a competitive situation. In his previous role as Technical Director at Go Virtual Germany Ulrich was the solution architect for the systems installed in Germany. As a Senior Consultant at ict GmbH – Aachen Ulrich initiated the HPC partner program for Fujitsu.
Ulrich’s personal strength is the ability to explain, demonstrate and to position technology and thus to establish the link between the customer and the solution provider. His broad and profound knowledge of technical and scientific computing is the key enabler to grow Go Virtual’s competence in Germany and to start-up and operate pre-sales and service teams. Ulrich holds a Ph.D. in Computational and Quantum Chemistry from the Ruhr-Universität Bochum in Germany.
